At the ‘Let Us Loop You In’ event of Apple on Monday, the price cut on Apple Watch along with iPhone Se was announced. However, it didn’t announce whether it is going to slash the price of iPad Air 2.
Price of iPad Air 2
The launch of iPad Air 2 that happened in the year 2014 would stay on sale in spite of iPad Pro’s launch. These prices will roughly start from around $399 for the Wi-Fi-only variant with 16GB storage. However, pricing for India hasn’t been updated yet. This 9.7 inch iPad is going to be launched in India in early April.
For those who don’t know, the previous pricing was rough $499. However, now, the same pricing applies to 64GB Wi-Fi only variant. There are two options on the US website of the company. The price of Wi-Fi+LTe for 16GB version is rough $529.
Interesting, the Wi-Fi only iPad Air 2 16GB carries the same $399 price tag as the iPad Mini 4. Even the price of Wi-Fi+LTE 16GB and 64GB Wi-Fi only version remains the same. However, the listing of 128GB model of iPad Mini 4 has been seen on the US website.
Variants and their prices
The new 9.7 inch iPad Pro would have a starting price of Rs.49,000 for 32GB variant and Rs.61,900 for the 32GB variant which is Wi-Fi+Cellular. The company also announced that Apple Pencil could be availed at a price of Rs.8, 600, Polyurethane iPad Pro Smart cover at Rs.3, 700 and Smart Keyboard at Rs.13, 900. Other things include silicone cover at Rs.5200, Lightning to USB C Cable at Rs.2, 300, USB-C power adapter at Rs.4, 100, Lightning to USB3 camera adapter at Rs.2900 and Lightning to SD card camera reader at Rs.2500.
These prices will help the buyers decide whether they want to go for the higher end variant or not. They are fixed to keep the usual Apple iPad buyers in mind.
