Apple Inc. as per its tradition is all set to launch its latest smartphone, the iPhone 8 on 12th September in line with Apple’s 10th anniversary. Apple has also sent invites for the launch event at its newly-built Steve Jobs Theatre on its new campus. The new iPhone 8 is reported to be christened as the iPhone Edition or iPhone X.

The Touch ID fingerprint scanner is said to be replaced with an infrared scanner that unlocks the phone using the facial recognition software. This is said to be very fast that scans the user’s face and unlock the device in “millionths of a second.” This system works with a 3D camera, according to leaked information. The system could be used not only to unlock the phone but also to log in to apps and verify Apple Pay transactions.
Augmented reality directions:
Apple is also expected to introduce a new way for to tell directions by using augmented reality to show directions onto the view through the camera.
This is one of the new features that will debut on the iPhone 8. The iOS 11 features peer-to-peer Apple Pay and a revised Control Centre. It will consist of a do not disturb feature while the user is driving or when the phone is put on the driving mode as well as an Emergency SOS.
The smartphone manufacturers might launch the new iPhone 8 with wireless charging technology that will use the power from the socket without actually plugging in the wire. However, rumors suggest that Apple will introduce this feature as an option.
