Asus is going to launch two new smartphones in the next two months this year. The two smartphones are Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom and ZenFone AR. Asus announced both the smartphones early this year at CES in Las Vegas. Though the news doesn’t exactly tell us the dates when it will be launched.
One thing is sure, Asus will not launch both the smartphones at the same time. India is gradually becoming a significant potential market for the smartphones. Asus is not famous for the smartphones. But Asus is more famous for the brilliant quality gaming laptops. Still, it has created a few great quality smartphones in 2015 and 2016.
The specs and details of Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and Asus ZenFone AR
The first Asus Zenfone Zoom was launched in 2015 and then came the ZenFone 2 in 2016. In the new Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom, you will have a 12MP dual camera setup. Asus removed the 3X optical zoom facility for the 13MP lens. In the new ZenFone 3, it will come with a 25mm wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture and also a 12X digital zoom. The phone has got a lot of interest because of the Google support of the augmented reality project Tango and also the Daydream VR technology.
Apart from that Asus launched the ZenFone Live ZB501KL in India on last Wednesday (17th May). It looks like Asus is going to have a great year ahead. With the two smartphones, you might get to experience AR and VR facilities. But unfortunately, you will not get the combo of two. For now on, you can use the Daydream apps when the phone is on the Daydream VR headset and the Tango apps.
The ZenFone AR has got a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED touchscreen. It also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset processor along with an 8GB RAM. The primary factor is 23MP Sony IMX318 Sensor with OIS, EIS, and 4K video recording. The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is 7.83mm thin, and it also weighs 170gms. It is a 5.5-inch screen sized smartphone with 1080p with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone also comes with a Snapdragon 625 SoC along with a 5000 mAh battery.
