This app is used to send or request money with the app to make digital payment. The app is linked to your bank account. It is why you won’t have to load money like a wallet. So no merchant have to worry about transferring the money back to their account again. So no worries about deducting any bank charges.

How can you download the BHIM app?

You can download the app from Google Play store for Android devices. At present this is available for the Android devices. And this is will also be available for the iPhone soon.

How to use BHIM app?

After you have downloaded the BHIM app, you have to register the app with a bank account and then set up the UPI PIN. The mobile number is your payment address, and you can you start the transaction. With the app, you can send or receive money, check the balance or you can also scan the QR code for making a pay without sharing your mobile number. With the BHIM, you can also send money to the non-UPI banks through IFSC.

For the standard feature phones:
Apart from the Android devices, the BHIM app can be used for the feature phones. You have to use the USSD from feature phones and then dial *99# to access it. And in this method, you won’t need internet connectivity.

All the major banks support the BHIM and here is the list of banks. The transaction limit of BHIM is 10000 per transactions, and in 24 hours you can make a transaction of maximum Rs 20000.
