“Successful people keep taking actions. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.” True that. It was a time when the real-life Iron man, Elon Musk thought of discontinuing his Stanford degree just to keep up with his first tech company, Zip2. From Tesla and Paypal to The Boring Company, NeuraLink and SpaceX, Musk has become synonymous with technology. As of now, Elon Musk is on a secret space mission for the US government.
Elon Musk’s Secret Space Mission
His space exploration company, SpaceX has launched a secret mission for the US government to orbit. Just ahead of the Hurricane Irma, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket travelled skywards from the Cape Canaveral launching pad in Florida.
But, there is something unusual about this mission. Instead of sending private satellites typically used for the NASA space missions, SpaceX used an unpiloted X-37B spacecraft. In this launch, an Air Force space plane boosted into space on a classified mission.
The company, then received the Falcon 9’s first stage at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station within the first eight minutes of launch, while the second stage of the rocket steadily pushed its Air Force payload towards orbit.
The launch has been the first Air Force spaceflight launch by the space-tech company. Though the details of the launch mission remain classified, as per a news report, the spaceflight was believed to be bound for a relatively lower orbit.
This launch, also known as OTV-5, is a great achievement for SpaceX as this was the second time when the company launched a payload of national security.
With the successful landing of the first stage of Falcon 9, this was the 16th successful recovery of the company in a total of 21 trials. And, it was the seventh time when SpaceX successfully landed it on land which is a great feat for the enterprise.

A United States Air Force official reportedly said:
“The primary objectives of the X-37B are twofold; reusable spacecraft technologies for America’s future in space and operating experiments which can be returned to, and examined, on Earth.”
This incredible feat adds another feather to Elon Musk’s cap. Whatever happens, the Iron Man will continuously work harder to innovate the space industry and keep pushing the human race forward with each of his work.
