Lenovo Phab 2 Pro: The World’s First Smartphone with Google Tango

Lenovo is more likely to release its Phab 2 Pro on November 1. The smartphone first showed up at the Lenovo Tech World event this June. The company made the gadget made in collaboration with Google. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro uses Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality sensors to map the surroundings. It can help users to interact with things in the virtual world.


When it comes to specifications, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro features a 6.4-inch Quad HD IPS display with 459ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone has got an Octa-Core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor that promises a good performance. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.  The device houses a massive 4050mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow out of the box. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor employed in the scanner mounted on its back.

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro contains a whole of four cameras in it. It has an 8MP camera at the front, a 16MP RGB camera at the back. Additionally, it has got a depth-sensing infrared camera that comes with images and an emitter. Also, the device has a motion tracking camera. The Phab 2 Pro is capable of recording videos in 360-degree. The device renders the possibility to record videos in 4K resolution as well. The front-facing camera features a f/2.2 aperture with 1.4 µm pixel size for a better selfie. The selfie camera can record video in 1080p at 30fps.

Google Tango facilitates the users to appraise the size of objects in their surrounding by using just their smartphones camera. In addition to gaming helps real world activities too.  Example, to locate and see furniture virtually in the room in real-world size before actually purchasing them. Though the smartphone did not get released is September as per the expectation, its impressive features are worth the wait.
