If you already have these handsets and wish to upgrade, then you should download the Upgrade Advisor app from Windows store. After that, you should select “Enable Upgrade.” If the device is eligible, the app will give you a confirmation reply. Then all you need to do is go to settings, select “Phone update” and start upgrading.
Windows 10 Soon on Other Devices
If you own a Lumia 520, which is not listed above, you will have to keep some patience. Microsoft says it wasn’t interested in releasing Windows 10 Mobile to all Windows Phone 8.1 compatible smartphones since they are already checking the OS on older devices.
In a blog post, Michael Fortin, the CVP Windows and Devices Group Core Quality wrote that the list includes only limited devices And it isn’t inclusive of devices that currently run Windows 10 Mobile in the Mobile Insider program. As innovations are coming forward, many old devices aren’t able to upgrade it without any effect on customer experience. The goal is mainly for offering an upgrade they are confident would continue to deliver an excellent experience.
