Niantic is just delighted to join hands with Reliance Jio. And this is clear from the statements of CEO and founder of Niantic John Hanke. He said,
The Pokemon Go AR game is based on the popular anime TV show, Pokemon. It uses the geo-locations for placing the Pokemon in different locations for placing the Pokemon in different areas in the city.
It’s exciting to see Pokémon fans in India step out and explore their neighborhoods in search of Pokémon and Jio’s disruptive high-speed 4G LTE Network will be an excellent way to experience the game.
Pokemon Go more popular than Candy Crush or Clash of Clans
The player has to walk around the city to look and catch the Pokemon which appear on the screen. The Pokemon trainers will also travel through the city to check out Pokemon stops for resupply and fight at the Pokemon gyms. This game needs a smartphone, active data connection, camera and GPS to run. The partnership with Jio will level up the subscription rates of Reliance Jio connections. The Reliance Jio stores will be the PokeStops and Gyms in the game. And this is live from today. Pokemon Go beat Candy Crush Saga (8.7%) and the Clash of Clans (5.2%) on the number of installations and downloads in less than a week after its release in the US.
