Samsung has launched its latest Galaxy C8 smartphone which gets facial recognition and dual camera. The new facial recognition technology on the handset unlocks the phone by recognising the user’s face. This new technology is expected to be soon seen on upcoming Apple iPhone 8, read here.
The dual camera on the phone has ‘Dual Photo’ mode, which allows the users to adjust the focus of the lens even after clicking the pictures. The new Samsung Galaxy C8 is a dual SIM phone and is available in two version, a 3GB RAM with 32 GB storage and a 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage. The users can also expand the storage on the device via microSD card of up to 256GB in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.
The Galaxy C8 also gets features such as an always-on 5.5-inch full HD super AMOLED display that measures 1080×1920 pixels. The handset uses octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 1.69GHz and the other 4 clocked at 2.39GHz. The phone also features a rear dual camera and a 13-megapixel with a sensor, a f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. The front camera features a 16-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. The battery pack includes a 3000mAh battery.
Features such as fingerprint scanner in the Home button at front, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port are equipped with the device. The customers can also choose between different colour options such as Black, Gold, and Pink. Samsung has not yet announced the price of the smartphone that will be disclosed soon.
