Well we have said a lot about the Galaxy S8, the recent updates, features, leaks, rumors, and specs. Now, there is something for the Samsung Galaxy S7. The Galaxy S7 will get Nougat update today (7th March 2017). Good news for the S7 users because they have now one more reason not to sell the S7 right now.
After the confirmed release date for the Galaxy S8 devices, a lot of retail stores are offering deals to sell out the S7 devices as much as possible. So, as we already mentioned in our article, right now would not be a good time to sell your S7 as a second-hand device.
According to Verizon support pages, the Samsung S7 will get software update G930VVRU4BQA2. The users of S7 Edge will get an update as G935VVRU4BQA2. Verizon didn’t confirm what the exact size of the update is, but chances are it will be a big upgrade. The update will bring the latest version of a TouchWiz feature of Samsung. Previously, this feature was available with the Galaxy Note 7. It is the best skin that Samsung offered till date. It offers a fresh and simple UI and looks much better.
The advanced features of Nougat for Galaxy S7
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were also supposed to get the Android update by the end of February. The delay is because Samsung wants to ensure the quality of Nougat before releasing it to other devices. There is no confirmation yet when the update will come for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Nougat introduced a lot of changes. The changes include split-screen multitasking, a better notification system, efficient Doe mode, Vulkan graphics API and much more.
Samsung also introduced a few improvements and made the interface better. There is also new battery management feature and option to keep “Always on Display” mode. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S7, then you need to go to Settings to get the updates. Just make sure you have enough battery and data before you opt for the upgrade.
