After so many hints and leaks, finally, we have got the complete and detailed information about both the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and the Galaxy S8. So what does the S8 plus have which the S8 doesn’t have? While both the devices have the best of specs in their range, the S8 Plus comes with few more enhancements than the S8. It I pretty obvious, though. But her are the differences.
Let’s start with the display of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and S8
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a 6.2-inch screen while the S8 has got a 5.8-inch display. Both the devices have Super AMOLED infinity displays with Mobile HDR Premium with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The resolution is also same for both the devices which are 2960*1440 pixels. The pixel density is 570 ppi for Galaxy S8 and 529 for the Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. So the Galaxy S8 has got the better edge when it comes to vibrant colors in the display. Both the devices have Mobile HDR Premium, and they are certified by the UHD Alliance for the technology.

You will also get Bixby vision on both the devices. For the new experience in camera, Samsung is also introducing the multi-frame image processing on the new devices. In this feature, the camera will take three pictures for creating better and more detailed image.
Coming to the Hardware
The Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy S8 has the same hardware. But depending on your area, the hardware will vary. If you are a resident of the US, you will get the 835 Octacore chipsets with 4 * 2.35 GHz and 4 * 1.9 GHz Kyro CPU’s. It will also have the Adreno 540 GPU and a 4GB RAM. If you are a resident of Europe or Asia, you will get, the Exynos 8895 octa-core processor with 4*2.3 GHz and 4*1.7 GHz CPU’s. There is an ARM Mali G71 MP20 GPU and 4GB RAM.
Well, frankly speaking, Samsung says, both Qualcomm and Exynos processors are almost same. But real life tests suggest, the Exynos processors are a bit faster than Qualcomm, and they draw lesser battery. So the people residing in Europe and Asia might enjoy a better benefit here.
Both Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus comes with Android Nougat with TouchWiz. Both the devices are compatible with Samsung DeX. Whether the devices are suitable for the Android O/Android 8 update are not clear yet.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and the Galaxy S8 are identical with minor differences. Like the display of Galaxy S8 is better but the difference is hardly noticeable to the naked eye. The S8 is small in size, so it’s lighter in weight (155g). The Galaxy S8+ is bigger in size, so it’s a bit heavier (173g). But then again, both the devices can be operated with one hand.
