In Today’s world, Samsung is putting all their efforts to build up their name in the market again. The launching of the Galaxy On8 in India, which is as the name suggests, is the more developed to the Galaxy On7.
The Samsung Galaxy On8 smartphone comes up with a brushed metal finish and a diamond cut frame. The smartphone also comes up with a preloaded with two ‘Make in India’ initiatives that is ultra data saving and an S bike feature mode. The ultra data saving initiative was first introduced in the Samsung Galaxy J2, and it is told to deliver up to about 50 percent data saving and also frees up the RAM by 11 percent.

The Samsung Galaxy On8 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The display has a pixel density of 401ppi. This is a huge upgrade when compared to its older siblings LCD panels. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos 7580 octa-core processor, which is paired up with RAM of 3GB. The smartphone comes with a 16GB onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via an external micro SD card. It also supports VoLTE. The one thing that is missing in the smartphone is the fingerprint scanner, which is a very new feature coming to the latest smartphone.
On the photography front, the Samsung Galaxy On8 sports a 13-megapixel-rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel-selfie camera. Both the rear and front cameras come with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The smartphone also has a 3,300mAh Li-Ion battery with dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It also supports VoLTE. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top.
Samsung’s new smartphone will be priced at Rs.15990, and it will sell exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion sale, which will be beginning on 2 October at 11.59PM. Samsung Galaxy On8 will be available in three variant of colors i.e. black, white, gold.
Looking at the price and specifications, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note, and the Moto G4 Plus, are the main competitors in the market on Galaxy On8. The Moto G4 Plus has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, and 3GB of RAM.It carries a price tag of Rs.14990. It also includes features like 16-megapixel rear facing camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 32GB onboard storage, 3,000mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and Nano-coating to protect it against water sprinkles
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display. It runs on 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM. It carries a price tag of Rs.13499. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel-rear facing camera, 8-megapixel front-facing snapper, 32GB onboard storage, fingerprint scanner and a 3,500mAh battery. It also has 4G LTE support.
