Lybrate, the Online doctor consultation platform has extended services to Facebook Messenger, through which people are allowed to ask health related queries be it health or anything else be it health quiz or health tips.
It can be accessed on the Facebook page and the URL can be shared as hyperlink too in the chatbox. However, you cannot book doctors through this chatbox.
This integration has similarity of that of the integration of Practo with Twitter, that was launched in April 2016, wherein health queries can be sent by the users to @AskPracto Twitter handle, in which users are sent relevant links to articles on consultation page. The bot shares excerpts and links from articles on Q&A portal related to health issues. The identity of the users is kept private and anonymous. Health Quiz feature is also integrated by Lybrate.
Saurabh Arora, the CEO and Founder of Lybrate stated that this startup is working on the feature since the messenger bot platform has been launched. The main objective is finding out the kind of experiences that would be working on Facebook Messenger.
They wanted to offer users with something which would help them a look, say booking an appointment etc.
