WhatsApp Beta For Android Gets Revoke Message And Font Shortcuts

WhatsApp is always updating itself. Recently we got back the text status update feature. Now, WhatsApp beta for Android has got one more update that offers you two more features. These two are new fonts shortcut and revoke messages. The revoke messages feature was already seen in the iPhone beta version and you will not get it in the web version of WhatsApp. The new feature will allow you to revoke or recall the already sent messages to your contacts. You can even edit the sent messages with this feature.

WhatsApp beta for Android “revoke” feature

The new version will soon be launch for the Android version of WhatsApp. The new update for WhatsApp Web will also have this feature. It will add the revoke feature and the fonts shortcut feature to the browser version of WhatsApp. There is a certain time limitation of “unsending” the messages. Within 5 minutes you have to unsend the message or edit the message if you want. The WhatsApp beta for Android has still disabled the new “revoke” feature. Thus, it is clear that the company plans to release this new feature to all the versions at once.

The new fonts shortcut feature is available for the WhatsApp Beta for Android users. In the new version of WhatsApp 2.17.148, you will get new font shortcuts available in bold, italics and strikethrough. Thus, you won’t need to add texts with asterisks if you want to emphasize a particular word or a line while sending messages. You can just make it bold, or italics to highlight that part.

At present, there is no word when it will come out for the public to the Android and iOS users. WhatsApp for iPhone and Android added the text formatting feature last year. A lot of people say that this new fonts feature might be a replica of that text formatting feature. The reason is, text formatting allows users to format the text messages with bold, strike through and italics.
