At the CES 2017, Xiaomi revealed the world first thinnest TV. The name of that TV is Xiaomi Mi TV 4. It will be available this year in China. The release date is not confirmed yet, but it is expected to release in the mid of this year. It is one of the best and most advanced TV’s offered by Xiaomi.

The design of Xiaomi Mi TV 4
Hugo Barra, the global VP of Xiaomi stressed on the fact that this TV will be easiest to carry and place on any homes due to its light weight and thin structure. The new Xiaomi Mi TV 4 will also come with the Dolby Atmos audio technology for offering you a cinema grade experience. The TV has got a frameless design. It is just 49mm in thickness and according to records; it is 30% thinner than iPhone 7. Apart from that, this TV also boasts a record of 37% lighter than the Mi MIX.
The different variants
There are three variants of this TV. You can see that the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 comes in 49, 55 and 65-inch variants. The company says that this television is modular in design. It allows users to swap the motherboard and other internal components when they want to upgrade. So in case you want to update the TV, it won’t be a problem. That is a critical factor. It offers flexibility to the gadget, and a part by part upgrade won’t cost a huge amount of money for the viewers.
The Additional features
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 comes with the company’s Mi TV Bar that integrates ten speakers, two wireless rear satellite speakers and also a subwoofer. That is one hell of a combination of advanced techs you get for a TV. At the CES event, Xiaomi also introduced the Mi Port. It is a single cable that connects Mi TV bar to the display and carries all signals for a clearer look.
The pricing details are not available yet for the Xiaomi Mi TV 4. But according to Hugo Barra, he promised the TV would be well under $2000. It is roughly around Rs 135000. The Mi TV will be shipped to China this year, and Xiaomi also confirmed that there is another model without the Dolby Atmos speakers which is priced under $1500. It will cost around Rs. 102000.
The TV for future generation
Apart from the beautiful design, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 added its AI-based recommendations UI called the Patchwall to the Mi TV 4. It is the UI layer that is present on top of Android OS, and it is based on the deep learning of the AI technology. This new technology will offer content recommendations for users depending on the amount of Meta data it obtains from the movies and TV shows.
