January 19 Release
Redmi Note 4 is the first big launch of this company in 2017. More launches are soon to be announced in the country because India is a crucial market for Xiaomi. They have already crossed the $1 billion mark revenue earning here in 2016. This year, they plan to go bigger and hence it is expected that they will make some more announcements as the year progresses.
Given the fact that Redmi Note 3 was such a huge hit, it is quite a safe step to make Redmi 4 the initial big release of the year. People have been awaiting upgrades and better versions and for those who were, Redmi Note 4 will come as a big surprise with its packed features.
The smartphone was released in China last year, and thus the specifications can be easily guessed. It will have a 4100 mAh battery to go with its 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. Some other variant will also be launched with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory – if all goes well.
The price for the former will be around Rs. 9999 while the price for the latter (if launched in India), could be around Rs. 12000. The phone will also sport a Micro and a Nano SIM slot with 5.5 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display.
Also, the operations will not get any smoother than this because Redmi Note 4 might come with deca-core MediaTek Hello X20 processor combined with Mali-T880 GPU. For the selfie obsessed, this phone could be a game changer with its 85 degree wide angle lens on its 5MP front camera and 13MP rear shot.
Since last year Marshmallow was doing rounds, the phone sported the same OS. This year in India it is expected to come with Android Noughat. However, nothing has been confirmed about this.
Note: In China, Redmi Note 4 was also spotted featuring 4GB RAM. Will it be launched in India in the same or higher capacity? For now, it remains to be seen.
